So ghastly is her figure, so defiled
by men who bear the gall Love to disgrace.
They tear her from our hearts with a feigned smile
and suck the youthful beauty from her face.
Thus Love becomes a hideous thing despised,
And I, heartbroken, long for her no more.
Then, there comes one who brings his eyes to mine
and bids me come and see love as before.
I lack the will. I sit, and empty shell
whom Love's forgotten and has been forgot.
Yet still, her seeks to raise me from my hell

The Fairy Aptitude Yearly Exam, or F.A.Y.E, is taken every year by the first 100 fairies that sign up. Out of those 100, only twenty-five will find a golden pearl and pass the test. The other seventy-five are deemed failures and are free to re-take the test next year. A fairy is only allowed to take the test seventeen times between their third and twentieth year at the S.P.R.I.T.E Academy. If you fail all seventeen times, you are stripped of you powers or "black listed." Good luck!
